Course Contents
Regression analysis: simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, Testing assumptions of regression and testing significance of regression. Analysis of variance, ANOVA: need for ANOVA, one way ANOVA, two way ANOVA, practice exercise
Experimental Design: definition of experimental design, important points to be considered while designing experiment, Completely randomized design, Randomized complete block design, Latin square design,
Nonparametric Tests: importance and need of nonparametric tests, Mann Whitney U test, Run test, Friedman test, Kruskal Wallis test, Kolmogorov Smirnove test.
Course Synopsis
Course will enable students to model biological data. They can do comparison of different groups after application of appropriate experimental design. Students will be able to fit appropriate model after verification of associated assumptions and use alternative techniques in case of violation of assumptions.
