Course Synopsis
PART-I: FABRICATION TECHNIQUES
Nanofabrication via different techniques: Sputtering, Sol–Gel Processing, Co-Precipitation, Electrodeposition, Solid State Synthesis, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Physical vapor Deposition (PVD).
PART-II: CHARACTERIZATION OF NANOMATERIALS
X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Electron beam microscopy (SEM along with EDAX), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (Scanning Tunneling Microscopy), Vibratory Sample Magnetometer (VSM), Ellipsometry, Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), 4-Probe Methods.
PART-III: CHARACTERIZATION OF BIO-MATERIALS
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), High-energy photon imaging (SPECT or PET), Ultrasound/echocardiography
Course Learning Outcomes
Students will learn in detail about chraracterisation tools of nanomaterials and difference of these tools used for bulk. So during research they can easily apply those tools easily to their materials synthesized
