Course Synopsis
The aim of the module is to familiarize students with historical and current trends, methods and approaches in language teaching and learning. It aims to provide a framework, in part historical and in part pedagogic, from which to examine current working practices. Published materials will be critically examined and assessed to assist in establishing the context of 21st century language education and its relationship with Second Language Acquisition research. The module also seeks to encourage considerations of future directions in English language
