Course Synopsis

The course has been designed to introduce the concept of crime and criminology. It gives the difference between crime and deviant behavior. It highlights the various types, theories and causes of crime. It also introduces the institution of correctional services in Pakistan. The students will get awareness about the different causes of crime and juvenile delinquency in special reference of Pakistan and also the different correctional services available in the country.

Course Learning Outcomes

The students will be able to learn the role of probation and parole officers in the society. The students of social work will be able to understand the role of social workers in the correctional institutions. With the help of this course students can easily resolve the issues of juvenile delinquency in our society.
