Course Synopsis
Course Objectives: Behavioral Neuroscience focuses on the relationship between biology and psychology. The course is designed to make an interesting practical account of neuroscience. It is aimed to study the implication of neuroscience in psychology, the neurological cause of every normal and abnormal behavior.
Course Learning Outcomes
1. The students will be able to describe the basic anatomy and physiology of the nervous system.
2. Understand how neuroscience is involved in controlling all types of behavior and which brain area is related to the control of what type of behavior.
3. Understand how behavior is affected in case of neurological disorders, tumors, brain injuries, degeneration and seizures.
4. Assess neurological impairment by conducting psycho-neurological assessment procedure.
5. Apply and explain the implementations of neuroscience in higher functions such as learning, emotions, motivation, sexual behavior, memory and language.
