Course Synopsis
This course mainly focuses on the approaches to study the political, social, ideological, economic and cultural phenomenon leading to the creation of Pakistan. It mainly highlights the importance of Muslim struggle leading to the development of Pakistan.
The purpose of this course is to impart knowledge to the students and create awareness regarding basic ideological, social, cultural and economic factors contributing in the creation of Pakistan.
Course Learning Outcomes
After completing this course students will able to underscore the importance of national integration, cohesion and patriotism.
Encourage traits of observation, creativity, analysis and reflection in students.
It will promote an understanding of the ideology of Pakistan, the Muslim struggle for independence and endeavors for establishing a modern welfare Islamic state.
It will acquaint the students with various phases of Pakistan’s historical, political and constitutional developments.
It will inculcate awareness about the multi-cultural heritage of Pakistan, so as to enable the students to better appreciate the socio-cultural diversity of Pakistan society and get used to idea of unity in diversity in our national context.
They will enhance understanding of the physical features and human resources of Pakistan.
It will impart awareness about various aspects of socio-economic activities at national level and the role played by Pakistanis in the development of their society.
The students will identify various perspectives on current, persistent, and controversial issues in Pakistan; identify their own position on these issues, and be able to support them.
It will instill in the students a sense of patriotism, tolerance, active citizenship, and respect for cultural diversity and religious harmony
design and implement a project to promote active and responsible citizenship and help children and young people to do the same.
