• Judicial Review of Administrative Action: Need for Judicial Control of Administrative Process, Practice and concept of Judicial Review of Administrative Action in Pakistan, Principles of Natural Justice
• Administrative Tribunals: Introduction of Administrative Tribunals under 1973 Constitution in Pakistan
• The Citizen and Maladministration: Ombudsman, Federal and Provincial Ombudsman in Pakistan with respect to their functions
• Accountability: Importance and Need for Accountability, Types and Approaches to Accountability

Course Synopsis
Objective of this course is to make the students aware of constitutional and institutional framework of administrative law, rule-making, judicial review and non-judicial review. The emphasis will be on relating the theories and concepts with administrative working of government and accountability mechanisms in Pakistan.
Course Learning Outcomes
• The course is designed to provide learners an opportunity to engage in a scholarly and reflective analysis of the issues involved in cases coming before the courts more recently.
• These issues will be examined both from a theoretical and practical dimension.
• At the end of this course students will be aware of Administrative functioning and accountability in Pakistan.
