1.Chemistry of Wool: Occurrence; Histology; Bilateral Structure;
Chemical composition, Cross linkages of wool; Chemical Reactions of
wool (with acids, with alkali, Treatment with water,)
2. Chemistry of Silk: Occurrence, histology, chemical structure; Chemical
reactions of silk with acids, alkalis and oxidizing agents.
3. Chemistry of Manmade Fibres: Production of fibre, Wet spinning, Dry
spinning, Melt spinning.
4. Functional and Aesthetic Fabric Finishes
5. Wet Processing: singing, desizing, scouring, bleaching, mercerization
and caustisization.
