Course Contents

The course aimed at enabling the students to develop their own web newspaper, magazine and the different business (media or non media) websites. The course will provide comparative study of different kinds of journalism i.e.; print, electronic and online journalism. The course is basically divided into two major parts including theory and practice. Outline: The students are required to do practice of web pages building during their classroom work. They will learn to work on Dream weaver software. During their lesson and practice on the software they would build websites in different parts-pages. The students are going to learn the following module: • Concept of HTML • Terminologies used on internet • How to make a web-page in Dream-weaver • Working with hyperlinks • Working with tables • Editing and inserting pictures into web-page • Inserting videos and audios using ActiveX control • Uploading websites on internet The students are supposed to do two projects at the end of semester.  The students are required to develop individually a proposal/ concept paper and will produce an online Website of a newspaper or magazine.  The students would be divided into groups and given task to prepare proposal concept paper and one of the following websites.  The students will submit the layout of the website at the time of their mid term exam and will submit the complete project at the end of the semester. 
