Course Synopsis

The course introduces a historical and multidisciplinary development of literary and critical approaches that later develop into theory, process of theorising and its inter-textual growth. The course aims to enable students to critically read and analyse literary text within the theoretical framework.

Course Learning Outcomes

the students should be able to: 1. enrich their understanding of Literary Theory not only individually, but also in relation to literary text 2. To demonstrate their understanding of Literary Theory and be able to critically examine individual texts, both orally and in writing, utilising correct terminology and literary analytical techniques. 3. To enable students to exhibit critical reading, thinking, writing, and speaking skills as well as applicable research techniques.
