Course Learning Outcomes
The Students should be able to:
• Enhance their understanding of the contemporary South Asian writers and poets by considering the selected texts not only individually, but also in relation to each other.
• Consider the writers’ use of language and, more generally, the various ways in which we, as readers, can approach literature written in different cultures.
• Situate the body of writing in relation to some of the major political debates of the period, including issues of gender and human identity.
• Work closely with the text, and explore, analyze and evaluate it.
