Course Learning Outcomes
The students should be able to: Identify and distinguish between debates and competing narratives in the history of Pakistan. Use these narratives to develop their own opinion on major events and conflicts in the country’s history and the effect (if any) these have had on the country today and on their own personal lives. Explain and debate the relationship between national and international events, with respect to Pakistan, particularly between 1945 and 1988. Demonstrate the difference between summarizing information and picking relevant material from a large number of readings to critically answer a specific question with very limited space/time.
