1-Understanding of Architectural Drafting Tools and how they are used. 2-Understanding of Basic Lines and Intensities 3-Study of Architectural Drafting Symbols and Angles and Bisectors 4-Understanding of Different Architectural scales for producing drawings on real proportions. 5-Study of Anthropometry for understanding of proportion and scale at real grounds. Idea of Plan , Elevations and Sections (2D drawings) 6-Practicing Isometric Views @ 45/45 degrees and 30/60 degrees (3D) 7-Developing Plan and Elevation of Sofa (Or any furniture) at suitable scale. 9-Developing Plan and Elevation of Living Room or Bed Room at scale with understanding of furniture placement and circulation spaces according to anthropology (2D) 10-Studying and practicing of One Point Perspective and Two point Perspective with daily life examples and spaces in use. (i.e Living Room(Formal/Informal), Bed Room (Single/Double), Drawing Room, Kitchen (Traditional/ Contemporary)) 11- Understanding and professional Application of different Rendering Materials (Inking. Pencil colors, charcoals, water colors) in all relevant Assignments

Course Synopsis

Drafting is a technical drawing of any perceived idea and exhibiting it at real proportion and scale. It is used to develop a design idea into a coherent proposal, to communicate ideas and concepts, to convince clients of the merits of a design, to enable a contractor to construct it, as a record of the completed work, and to make a record of a structure or object that already exists. In order to produce any design, in reality drafting is required, It is very important to use Drafting apparatus accurately so that there are no errors in the drawing. Drawing should have complete description that is required for the implementation of design, with a sense of scale.

Course Learning Outcomes

The students will be able to draw plans, elevations, and sections of Their products, spaces and Layouts of their projects. This is a process whereby a drawing is reviewed for completeness, accuracy, etc. It will further teach students how to control, and working with straight edges, mathematics, scale, and proportion.
