Course Contents
An interior drawing or architect’s drawing is a technical detail drawing of interior space of a building (or building project). These technical drawings are used by architects, designers and others for a number of purposes: to develop a design idea into a coherent proposal, to communicate ideas and concepts, to convince clients of the merits of a design, to enable a building contractor to construct it, as a record of the completed work, and to make ¬a record of a building that already exists.
In order to produce any design, in reality drafting is required, it is very important to use Drafting apparatus accurately so that there are no errors in the drawing.
Drawing should have complete description that is required for the implementation of design, with a sense of scale.
Course Synopsis
The purpose of drafting is to,
- Describe the exact geometry of space
- To propose a design idea before execution (Plan and Layouts)
- To assist in visualizing an essence and feel of space (Elevations)
- To communicate design and construction details (Blow-ups)
The purpose of drafting is to present technical ideas in precise and concise forms.
- A properly drafted drawing that can be understood by any Architect, Designer & Engineer.
- Dimensions and Sections to show the details, materials, and fabrications.
A typical working drawing package will contain,
- A design layout
- Assembly drawings
- Detailed drawings
- Sectional details
- Perspective drawings
