Course Synopsis
Ideologies are interconnected sets of beliefs, opinions, and values
regarding people, society and the state. They are both descriptive and
evaluative. They are highly contested, both internally and externally. The
course is designed to introduce students to many of the major
contemporary ideologies, and the debates within and among them.
Students will learn the core concepts as well as distinctive aspects of
each ideology.
