Course Synopsis
Political parties & pressure are essential ingredients of representative democracy. They ensure man’s participation & serve the common man’s role in political decision making in the government of the country. The course deals with Major, Islamic, regional and ethnic political parties in the context of their manifestos, functional frame work and over all contribution to political stability, modernization and change.Pressure group has played an important role in the political system.The course intends to classify the pressure groups,their goals and modes of actions in the Pakistan.
Course Learning Outcomes
It would develop the understanding of the students related to the organisation,role and structure of political parties and pressure groups in a representative democracy.
Students would be able to analyze the impact of civil-military relationship on the political system of Pakistan.
