Course Contents

Probability and Probability Distribution: Basic concept of probability, probability rules (Additive and Multiplicative), Standard distributions: Binomial and Poisson with properties, Normal Distribution with properties and application Sampling Techniques: Random and Non-random samples, Sampling distribution of statistics, Mean and Standard error of distribution for mean and proportion, sampling distribution of difference between mean and difference with proportions. Test of Significance: Introduction Z-Test, t-test, basic idea of means and proportion, testing for difference means and difference between proportion by Z and T test, basic idea of Chi-Square test, testing for goodness of fit, testing the association of variables, F-test, introduction and ANOVA, LSD test Experimental Design: Concept and principal of experimental designs, planning of an experiment, CR design, RCBD and LATIN square design with their layout, model and applications.
