Course Contents
Introduction, describing two way contingency tables, inference for two way contingency tables, models for binary response variables, Linear models, fitting log linear and logit models, building and applying Log linear models, Log linear logit models for ordinal variables, multinomial response models for matched pairs, analyzing repeated categorical response data, Logistic regression models and their analysis.
Course Synopsis
To introduce students with the situations in which data obtained is categorical. To enhance student’s knowledge to do statistical analysis of categorical data including basic and advanced techniques.
Course Learning Outcomes
The students will be able to analyze contingency table data and make inference for two-way contingency tables. Students should have a broad view of the generalized linear model framework and has the concept to several model variations. The students will familiarize with logistic regression modeling and have the knowledge how to interpret these models.
