Course Synopsis

The Course aims to help students develop an understanding of Modernism through four highly complicated and often debated texts. The four texts are chosen with a view of helping students appreciate the nuances and differences in narrative voices, plot structures etc through a comparison of the modernist texts with Victorian and Georgian novels.

Course Learning Outcomes

By the time this course is wrapped up, the students will be expected to be able to 1. Explore the intricacies of narrative voices 2. Discern how linear, alternative, and Mobius strip narratives work. 3. Work out how the movements in the Visual Arts and Music supplemented those in literature.
