Students will develop innovative ideas and concepts in response to design briefs, and creatively solve design problems using words and typography. By the end of the session students will give assignments related to typography.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students with good typographic knowledge stand out in the job market. Good graphic communication relies on the important relationship between type and imagery. This course is a study of the range of typographic variables (i.e., the characteristics of letterforms and the ways in which they are combined and configured to create texts) and of the relationship of typographic form to conventions of language use.
