Course Synopsis

This course is designed to enhance skill set of students in different mediums of paint making. The purpose of this course is to equip students with a greater understanding of the cultural and socio-historical context in which art is produced/practiced.

Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course students will be able to: • Explain the importance of different methods of printmaking • Create print of different methods of printmaking. • Contextualize the emergence of certain techniques of printmaking, thereby providing them with a theoretical toolbox with which they can engage critically with art practice.
