Course Learning Outcomes

This course will help the student to understand the importance of ideas, creativity, aesthetics and visualization for design development. Student will gain the knowledge of textile design, how it develop and what are technical terms used in textile field. They will learn about the importance of color in textile design and how color schemes developed for application in designs. Students will learn about the development process of textile design which include theme selection, sketching, rendering till color application. The ability to create 2D, 3D and texture effect in designs with colors. Repeating patterns in different ways will help them to create mathematically proper and aesthetically pleasing designs. Students will learn how to make design from any inspirational topic or theme to express their feeling and thought about the topic or theme. Understanding of color application in positive and negative spaces of design to create 2D, 3D and texture effects manually. Understanding about different methods of repeat.
