Course Contents

Formal lectures encompassing Gene cloning concepts and basic techniques(Gene, Vectors, restriction endonucleases, Expression systems, cloning strategies,selection of clones, familiarity with gene cloning terminology)2. Problem solving exercisesEvery student will be given individualized problem to work in a specified timeperiod, at the end of which a solution in the form of a written document issubmitted. The evaluation is based upon this document as well as on oralpresentation, which the student is required to make at the appointed time. For thiscourse, every student is required to meet the relevant faculty member for at least4 hours/week for formal discussion, besides informal meetings.
