Definition and introduction of DNA Recombinant Technology.
• Importance and Applications of DNA Recombinant Technology in industrial, agricultural, biomedical and environmental fields with comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge.
• Different approaches to isolate Nucleic acids, Cleavage of DNA, Genetic maps, Specificity of restriction fragments; cloning vectors, various types; making new DNA molecules,
• Gene libraries and CDNA cloning.
• Different means of introducing DNA into Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes, Identification and screening of recombinant DNA molecules.
• Characterization of genes, verification of gene identity, use of transposable elements; determination of gene structure,
• Gene expression and understanding of its regulation.
• DNA-protein interactions, fusion of regularity regions to reporter genes. Construction of chromosomal integrates in transgenic plants and animals.
