Course Synopsis
Architectural Design III is a studio-based Architectural Design that introduces the principles of Architectural Design, focusing on elementary building types of room. It will be the foundation for the future Design Studios and Students will learn the fundamental Architectural Principles and Essential Design Skills. The course will also help to develop the design skills such as problem definition, building organization and geometry, structural and material development, the use of scale, design methods and visualization in drawing and modelling. Through case studies and original design work, students will develop a sense of form and function and responsibility of the Site. Additional topics will include the social and symbolic functions of architecture and design as a response to Environment & context.
