Course Contents

Disconnection approach, Retroanalysis of Aromatic Compounds, Carbonyls (1,1,1,2, 1,3 disconnections), Alcohols, Alkenes (sterochemical aspect), Protecting groups, Chemoselectivity and regioselectivity involved as prerequisite for planning the synthesis, Umpolong, One group C-C disconnection.

Course Synopsis

To explore the insight of Organic synthesis learning by optimization of retrosynthetic strategy. To learn various strategies required for different class of organic compounds

At the end of this course student will be able to -apply rules for designing particular target molecules. -demonstrate the advance knowledge of synthons and related real reagents, predict and apply specific reaction conditions and their effect.
