The emphasis will be to develop better realization and understanding of widespread Networks, diffused in our daily life as a reality. The course will give advance networking concepts and principles This course will cover the principles of networking with a focus on algorithms, protocols, and implementations for advanced networking services. The course will help the students to understand and implement network models and tools.

Course Synopsis

It focuses both on the existing technologies also on why some of them are not sufficient because of technology trends or changes in fundamental assumptions. Emphasis of the course is on topics in wide-area networks, wireless networks, and measurement methodologies for Internet and wireless networks. It emphasizes on problems that are real and solutions that will make use of various tools.

Course Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, the students will be able to: • Understand the principles behind the Internet protocols • Understand the limitations of the current Internet and its service mode • Understand the main ideas behind some of the current innovations in networking including, protocols, wireless access systems, and social networks. • Use, implement, and test substantial parts of network protocols using various tools
