Introduction to Tools-Move tool, Marquee tool, Lasso tool, Magic wand tool, Crop tool, Eyedropper tool, spot healing, brush tool, pencil tool, clone stamp tool, Eraser Tool, Paint bucket tool, Blur tool, Dodge Tool, Pen Tool, Custom Shape tool, Hand tool, Zoom Tool, Image size. Uses of tools in design- Selections, Layers, Alpha Channels, Inverting a selection, Mixing and matching selection tools, saving and loading s/elections, Adjustments, Balance/contrast, levels, filters, offset, canvas size, Define Pattern, transform.Using photographs to make repeat designs-Taking photographs, Layers, mask layers, filter layers, selection tools, color adjustments, offset, canvas size, file types and resolution. Types of Repeat-Offset, transform, and file size. One unit design/flat bed design-Image size, define pattern, pen tool, transform etc. Separation in channels-Pen tool, color replacement, selections etc.Visualization of design on desired imagery-Selections, image collection, Inverse selection, layers, layer effects. Course Learning Outcomes

This course will give an elaborate knowledge about soft wares used by designers in the field. It will help them doing work in textile industries in future. Students would be able to make and edit designs and photos on computer after learning this course.
