Atmosphere Composition and structure of atmosphere, temperature and pressure, atmospheric circulation, air masses and fronts (classification, distribution and associated weather),cyclones and weather disturbances, atmospheric moisture and precipitation. Hydrosphere Configuration of ocean floor, composition, temperature and salinity of ocean water, movements of ocean water, currents and tides. Biosphere Formation and types of soil.

Course Synopsis

To create understanding of Physical Geography including atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere.

Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, the student will: • Understand the major processes involved in the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, and the biosphere in more detail in the context of the pedosphere
