Course Contents

Preparation of laboratory solutions and pH determination; qualitative and quantitative tests for carbohydrates, proteins and lipids; enzyme assays and the effect of pH, temperature and substrate concentration on enzyme activity. Titration curve of glycine, extraction of lipids by soxhlet apparatus.
