Course Contents

The course requires the understanding of students through lectures and practical assessments of different rendering mediums in Architectural Presentations. Architectural Rendering is a part of presenting architecture. Class activities has been designed in a way to make students try their hands on manual rendering using pointers, water color, soft pastels, color pencils and mix medium. Pen and Ink style presentations enable students to present the idea in their mind in a more convincing way. Course also includes that hands-on experience in hard core model making assessments which are helpful in physically translate their concepts. Model making materials, model making techniques are the core of this section of course. Photography is the last portion of the course which will enable students to learn the basics of architectural photography i.e. capturing the real view in various styles while adding an element of larger than life to it to enhance the visual experience of each shot

Course Synopsis

The design and creation of visual communications requires the selection and application of methods, media, materials, design elements, design principles and final presentation formats. Collectively these are the resources of visual language. Rendering is a technique which is done by any tool if one has the knowledge of colouring and applying the correct rules; in fact, rendering means the better presentation of one work. The core of the Visual Communication as a subject is about learning a language that is going to interact with the field experts and is the translation of the student’s idea.

Course Learning Outcomes

The spiritization of Architectural Design Projects through proper tools and various rendering techniques. II. To learn fast rendering styles which uses minimum tools and means at the best timing to show any target on a building architecture. III. To make students capable to translate their ideas in an easy and legible presentation IV. This would help students to use design elements and principal to create new ideas and innovations. V. Students have the opportunity to develop and refine freehand drawing skills, rendering skills and technical drawing skills
