Course Learning Outcomes
1. To develop technical know-how and the routines of the built environment professionals including the design, construction, planning, procurement and management of the built environment facilities have a clear relationship with the disaster management initiatives and they can significantly contribute to the prevention and minimization of disaster losses if they broaden their traditional roles.
2. To establish disaster management perspective into the architectural design education, as a long term proactive strategy.
3. To teach with a multidisciplinary approach incorporating engineering sociology, architecture, anthropology, finance, management, and other fields; to familiarise the undergraduate students of B-Arch Program with basic dimensions of the disaster management.so the professionals can gain familiarity with both the hard and soft dimensions of the disaster management phenomenon.
