Practice of Advertising
Naskh (join letters, ayah/surah), Use of
Qalam, Understanding of colours and application, Use of brush strokes, Understanding of calligraphy compositions, History of different fonts
(Kufic, Thulth, Naskh, Dewani, Riqa, Muhaqqaq, Taliq), Introduction to traditional and modern calligraphy
Course Synopsis
The purpose to introduce this course as a minor subject for BS students is to enhance the knowledge about Muslim art both in theory and practical form.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students will explore calligraphy script with Qalam, Advertising Naskh
- Students will learn application of paint and create different textures
- Students will also learn how to compose paintings with different techniques
