Course Synopsis

This course has been designed for students of different disciplines to have basic knowledge about physical and organic chemistry. In the first part they will study Chemical equilibrium, Chemical kinetics , Surface chemistry and colloidal solutions. In Organic part they will study Aromatic hydrocarbons, Alkyl halides, Nucleophilic substitution reactions and elimination reactions.

Course Learning Outcomes

Student will have a firm foundation in the fundamentals and application of physical and organic chemistry theories. From practical work they will be able to carry out chemical experiments as well as accurately record and analyze results of experiments.
