Course Synopsis

This course includes a core understanding of key concepts and terms related to human rights, develops a vision regarding their importance and inculcates a broad insight into various human rights theories. Not only this, it also gives a view of various international conventions and treaties pertaining to human rights and provides the appraisal of government’s policies and planning for human rights in Pakistan. The course is designed to impart knowledge about meaning, scope and importance of human rights in welfare keeping in view our own cultural set up.

Students will become familiar with human rights issues and with various efforts that have been made at national and international levels to secure and promotes theses rights.
