Course Synopsis

This course essentially aims to analyze the foreign policy of the big powers of the world including U.S.A China, Russia. Fundamental changes resulting from a shift in the international system from bipolarity to multipolarity and from multipolarity détente due to the end of Cold war. To examine this shift and other determinants of foreign policy; the course will analyze the position of China and Russia in the context of their regional and international relations.
