Course Synopsis

The course offers students a sense of 2Oth century literary, social and political context. Variety of reading that this course offers helps students evaluate their own position in contemporary socio-political context as well as it helps them seek solution for their problems being member of Third world country as almost all fiction and non-fiction works of this course are voices from third world countries.

Course Learning Outcomes

Students will understand literary, social and political trends of 2Oth Century. They will be able to identify variety of experimentation done by writers to bring home their ideas. It will inform them about history and the reasons for the kind of present that they are living in and thus they'll be able to better analyze their own position as well as problems.
