Course Synopsis
This course intends to develop a know-how of various forms and techniques of visual arts from 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional art to the performance based art. The elements and principles of art taught at the beginning of the course develops the aesthetic approach of the students. The emphasis is laid on the role of aesthetics in art and its forms. The course gives comprehensive understanding of major disciplines of art as a means of expression, communication, decoration and even function. The creative process is emphasized as a crux of the dialogue between the object and the individual.

The course aims
• To develop skills as tools to rationalize / quantify ideas,
• To give comprehensive understanding of major art disciplines,
• To stimulate the understanding of visual structuring as a means of communication,
• To establish the norm that the dialogue between the object and the individual is crux of the creative process.
