Course Contents
This Studio course is focused on building types that exhibits, complexity and challenges in their function, structural, mechanical and environmental control systems. Moderate to complex design scale is explored in this course utilizing analytical approaches to problem solving, exploration of spatial studies, sketching, 3D modeling. Emphasis is given on the site design, programing, materials & technology.
Course Synopsis
Pragmatic cognizance of Architecture
While the second year focuses on developing the ability to handle exploration and convergence as the basics of architectural design in terms of architectural design in terms of architectural analysis and synthesis of ideas, the third year aims to further enhance the design skills to a stage where the architectural intents are resolved and become communicative. Design needs to be resolved contextually, conceptually and pragmatically
Course Learning Outcomes
Students are supposed to design two projects in the semester. Whereas the class is divided into groups. The project assigned to them are as follow:
Project 01:
Group 01: Cultural Complex, Group 02: Specialized Museum
Project 02:
Group 01: Rehabilitation Center, Group 02: Pediatric Hospital
